  • Membership in the Bedford Garden Club offers numerous advantages. Members are encouraged to attend workshops on a wide range of gardening topics, participate in garden tours, and enjoy hands-on learning experiences. Workshops provide opportunities to learn from master gardeners and expert horticulturists, enhancing gardening knowledge and skills.

    Members also enjoy monthly meetings and social gatherings, including garden parties and holiday events, where they can connect with fellow gardeners and share ideas. Additional benefits include participation in field trips to gardens and special events that further enrich the gardening experience.

    Beyond personal enrichment, members contribute to civic beautification projects, fostering strong community relationships and supporting conservation and sustainable gardening practices.

  • Local garden centers generously provide discounts to Bedford Garden Club members. These discounts may help offset the cost of plants, soil, tools, and gardening supplies. We appreciate the continued support of these businesses and encourage members to show their BGC membership card when making purchases.

  • Field trips are held throughout the year and offer opportunities to visit gardens, nurseries, and educational destinations. Trips are planned in advance and communicated to members with detailed information.

    Workshops are designed to provide hands-on gardening instruction and cover a wide variety of topics. Each workshop is planned ahead of time and announced through meetings and email communications so members can sign up in advance.

  • Membership in the Bedford Garden Club comes with shared responsibilities that help sustain the club’s success. Members are encouraged to attend meetings, workshops, and field trips regularly.

    Active participation includes volunteering time and effort for committees, community gardens, and special events. Members may assist with setup, planning, fundraising, and maintenance activities.

    Contributing to club life may also include providing refreshments at meetings, helping with hosting duties, or supporting fellow members. This collaborative spirit helps maintain a supportive and engaging environment within the club.

    Leadership and service opportunities are also available. Members may serve on the Executive Board, act as committee chairs, assist with fundraising events, or take on leadership roles that contribute directly to the club’s mission.
